Idea Pizza cooker Idea
Well I found out it does not take much to get my wheels turning Wink
Jeepdad posted his old grill and asked if he should make a pizza cooker out of it...I said self you have the same one up in your parts pile...so I go retrieve it ...while loading it I remembered how heavy the SS was. Char broil has a 99 yr warranty on the burners so I gave them a call. $16.00 later and a few days I have 3 new burners and 4 trim rings for the knobs in my hand. Trimmed the legs off so it could sit in the pavilion. cut a 13 x13 chimney flue to fit for the cooking surface...used the round corner to fit the back and we were in business . Cured the flue slowly and cooked the next day. every body thought it was tasty.
Thanks jeepdad Exclamation glad to add it to my collection.

Awesome work Maniac I like it. Very Happy
Was the chimney flu just a square tube of refractory you cut?

Kevin yes it was a 13 x13 x24 flue...so far I am very happy with the results . The guy that sold me the flue was worried that it would crack when I cut it long ways, he thought from being fired it would have some tension in it...I had no problems with it. Looking at making a trailered one.

Ps other experiment we were talking about is looking like I have most of the parts, but summer is here so it may be a slow go.

You have to be careful with anything clay. Depending where it comes from it could have lead and heavy metals in the clay.
