Well I have not been on here for awhile, been busy with other business. Due to the road construction we have decided to delay the start of our renovation for Hick's BBQ, the road construction appears to be about 3-4 months behind schedule, we were going to open in early spring, we would of had to deal with the road being tore up for about 6 months, now it looks like it could be a year. We have decided to set up a BBQ concession trailer right in front of our building, this way we will be able to get the word out that a restaurant is coming, we will be able to show our customers how good the q is and they will be able to see the building being renovated, we will be able to step out of the trailer and into the restaurant when it is ready. My partners wife came up with this idea, I thought it was a brilliant idea. |

We made the switch from street to stick 3 year's ago, it gave us time to perfect our brand and wait for a good location. _________________ www.ridgeviewbbq.com

Well we found a really nice trailer up in northern Kansas, it has an all stainless kitchen and large 2013 Southern Pride Smoker that comes with it. My partner drove up yesterday to pick it up, should be home today, we may be serving BBQ next week, woo hoo. |

Hey guys, its been a minute or two, well they are getting closer to having the road construction finished, should be in early 2017, we have decided to change contractors, we are in the process of getting numbers, the prices have increased quite a bit, meeting with a restaurant consultant in the morning, came highly recommended, going to see what he thinks of what we have and what we are wanting to do, if we proceed on I will keep you informed, thanks for all the tips you guys gave me early on, take care. |
