Merry Christmas Kevin. No smoking action today. We'll "manger" from a giant pot of shrimp and sausage jambalaya. Very Happy

We are keeping it light today. We are having ham rollups that my daughter is bringing, we will have a broccoli casserole with a 7 layer salad, I will probably make some mac n cheese and have some other sides. We will finish with coconut cake.

9# strip loin - going to raost it prime rib style and rest in high humidity holding oven!
Mushrooms and onions
fingerling potatoes
Home made buns
pig candy
tiger prawns
bacon wrapped asparagus - deep fried
"bacon bombs" - small mozzarella sticks, wrapped in bread dough, wrapped in bacon, deep fried then tossed in a home made caramel sauce!
From the trial run on those 2 items:

Not sure what the Mrs is also planning...But this should be enough for 8 considering 3 are in their mid to late 80's and dont eat much!
1 bottle Knob Creek 120 and stogies for desert Wink

It's just me and my wife for dinner tonight so I have a 7lb brisket flat I'll be throwing on the pit in a while, and we're planning on having that with scalloped potatoes and roasted veggies followed with some pumpkin pie Very Happy

smoked crown roast of pork, pork loin stuffed with jambalaya and wrapped in bacon, boneless leg of lamb, smoked gouda mac-n-chz, bacon wrapped asparagus, teriyaki sugar snap peas, red velvet cake for dessert. A plethora of cold beers and brown party liquor after dinner. Merry Christmas and cheers!!!

I did a pack of hormel breakfast sausage, 3 lbs of bacon, and enough pancakes for 6 grandkids and 6 adults.

Did it on the Blackstone though.

Three deep dish (sausage; sausage/pepperoni; sausage/pepperoni/mushroom/onion/peppers)

Four thin crust (half cheese, half pepperoni; half sausage/pepperoni half sausage/mushroom; sausage/pepperoni; sausage/pepperoni/mushroom/onion/peppers)

Dough and sausage were both home made, now I need to start looking into pepperoni making. Very Happy

Way too much, everyone took piles of leftovers home with them, but I got to show my brother where he was going wrong with his deep dish so it was all worth it.

My 16yo may have gotten a pic, otherwise it didn't happen... right?

Wrestled with this large Crown Pork Roast last night. Probably a little too large (18 bones between the 2 roasts) and probably overstuffed it. Lots of tying!! Still came out marvelous, crispy roasted crust with no sacrifice of moisture and tenderness. Dressing absorbed those juices and was sinful. Stuffed with homemade, sausage & mushroom dressing, garlic mashed yukon golds, homemade creamed corn, french cut green beans with caramelized onions and baby bellas and the best roasted pork gravy I've ever made.

Throw in clinching a playoff spot, putting a beat down on Denver, family Christmas dinner with grandchildren and great grandchildren and I will say I'm glad I sold my KC/Denver tickets and didn't spend 10 hrs at the stadium. Wishing all of you a healthy and Happy New year.
