I work at a local grocery store now as a meat cutter since losing my
previous job late last year.
I have been eyeballing the Akorn that they had on display in the store for a few weeks now. Today I go in and they have it marked as "75% off". I figured for $139 I would grab it.
Hope to get some good tips browsing the forums for you current owners. _________________ Camp Chef Pro90 Stove w/ Griddle

That's a good score for that smoker. I was helping a buddy installing the new tires, forged wheels and the tonneau cover on his truck when his brother came with an Akorn Kamado. He said it was 3 years now and still cooking great. |

I have had an Akorn for at least 5 years. Just bought another last year. Planning on mounting them in a table together; one at each end, with plenty of work space in between. Hope to have it done this year. Will post pics when I start and finish. |

These are the Akorns mentioned; the door being used as a table gives an example of the size of the project, Will take up most of one side of the lower portion of the deck. But if I get this done this year; the lower portion will be expanded next year. Just have to see how much time I have after starting back to school. |
