How many people use rebar for fire grates and how long does it take to burn out. I have a bunch of rebar left over from building the house.

Personally I have never used it for cooking grates but I see no reason why not. Give yourself about a 1/2" in between the bars and go for it. Very Happy

I am just going to use the rebar for the grill fire grates. I will use flat expanded metal for meat grates.
