What makes a good team name? One came to me the other night - for when and if I ever put a team together. Also, can team names be registered so that nobody else can use it?

Hard to say what makes a good team name. I tried to come up w/ one that fit our personality and was unique.

You can search for team names that have already been registered and register yours here: http://www.bbqteamnames.com/Teams_interface/Names/results_page.asp

Thanks...just registered it. The new name is Pittsin in the Wind. Now all I need to do is start competing.

I like the name. Are you going to compete in KCBS or MBA or both? What are you going to cook on?
Good Luck
Thanks

Hey Mike - I will probably be more with the KCBS. I have a backyard pit ordered from Peoria Custom Cookers that should serve me well...the pit is 24X48. Here is the like to it:

http://www.peoriacustomcookers.com/new/Backyard/index.html

The two main differences in mine and the one pictured is that mine has two therms. on it and 1 smokestack is at the top of the pit while one is at the bottom. Oh, and one other, mine has 4 legs instead of the pit being a tri-pod.

Hey BBQ GUY, Great team name. The problem I had was coming up with just one name that I liked. Went with Firehouse Smokers cause everyone on the team is linked to a firehouse somehow. Been considering registering another for when we're competing with non-fire department members but probably won't. Best of luck on comps and send some pics!! Razz
