I know nothing about the grills. They look nice. I'm wondering why they are only sold online, though. I would have a hard time buying a grill I couldn't see and touch beforehand. My favorite gas grill brand is Vermont Castings.

channerwood,

Nice commercial but I don't know anything about the grill. It looks cool, but it is only a grill and I prefer the offset firebox, grill/smoker/roaster units you can find at the same price. Many people like the ease of hitting a button and fire is produced. I think grills are great but being a earthy kinda guy I smoke 90% of everything I cook outside. If I need to grill something, there is a cooking grate that fits in my fire box. If I need to roast a whole pig, I can remove the grill grates from the grilling section, place the pig on the lower grates, put the upper grates back on and put two large pans of hot coals above the pig on the upper grates. If I want to hang meat to smoke or make jerky, then I move to tower section, which can hold 10 to 15 large briskets or 3 large turkeys on removable racks.

In my opinion (and everybody has one) if you are going to spend the money, then buy something versatile. Keep in mind that I am a diehard, wood fired, smoker guy. I tried explaining to my wife that grills and smokers are like cars. They make subcompacts, sports cars, pickups and monster trucks. Pride in ownership is a big thing to some of us. You just have to figure out if you want a Volkswagen Jetta or a Ford F350 Super duty truck. Either way you go, you will be ahead of the rest of the crowd. Best suggestion I can give you, listen to what everyone has to say (except the salesman) and then make up your own mind. Good luck on your quest.
